Texas de Brazil Presents Over $149,000 To St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® After Campaign Finale Charity Luncheon

DALLAS, Nov. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Today Texas de Brazil announced a donation of more than $149,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.  St. Jude accepted the donation — which will directly benefit patients with childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases – during the Brazilian-American steakhouse‘s fundraising luncheon in October.

During the charity luncheon, guests heard a young mother’s heart-wrenching story of her seven-year-old daughter’s two-time fight against a rare and aggressive blood cancer, underscoring the continued need for supporting what St. Jude provides to children and families facing health crisis.

“This little girl and her mother have experienced unimaginable challenges and they bravely stood in front of our guests to share their struggle, emphasizing how financial support for the service and care provided at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital can give others the opportunity for life-saving treatment,” says Salim Asrawi, Chief Operating Officer at Texas de Brazil.  “We are grateful for the generosity shown by our guests and committed to continued support of this cause in the future,” he adds.

This year, Texas de Brazil partnered with St. Jude in a campaign that allowed guests to donate directly to the cause at the bottom of guest checks. No purchase was required, and for every $5 donated Texas de Brazil provided a $5 bounce-back certificate as incentive. The finale luncheon and funds from a silent auction of items donated by vendors and hospitality associates were also added to the final tally to support St. Jude in its life-saving mission: Finding cures. Saving children.®  Since 2013, Texas de Brazil has donated nearly $400,000 to St. Jude.

St. Jude has helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 to 80 percent since the hospital opened nearly 50 years ago, and they won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.  Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.

TEXAS DE BRAZIL BRINGS ITS AUTHENTIC CHURRASCO TO FIRST KENTUCKY LOCATION TODAY

DALLAS, June 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ – Texas de Brazil Churrascaria continues expansion into new markets, opening its 53rd Brazilian-American steakhouse today at The Summit at Fritz Farm development in South Lexington.  The family-owned restaurant treats guests to authentic churrasco-style grilled meats and a continuous dining experience that blends the unique culture of Brazil with the generous hospitality of Texas.

“We welcome the opportunity to introduce our churrasco to Lexington residents and visitors, and are proud to be one of the first restaurants to open in this exceptional new development,” says Salim Asrawi, Chief Operating Officer, Texas de Brazil.  “We look forward to becoming a supportive and engaged member of this community and fashionable center,” he adds.

The new 7500 square-foot restaurant accommodates over 200 guests and features a bright and energetic interior with an open-view grill, impressive salad area, wine wall, intimate lounge and a private dining space for up to 26 guests.

Texas de Brazil treats guests to an upscale dining experience and a service style that is alive and unique.  Inside the colorfully-decorated restaurant, guests begin their meal with a visit to the enticing 50-item salad area featuring Brazilian specialties, fresh salads, imported cheeses, charcuterie, roasted vegetables, smoked salmon and creamy lobster bisque.

Renowned for its genuine rodizio-style dining, patrons are also treated to freshly-grilled meats carved tableside from skewers by costumed “gauchos” who deliver succulent picanha (sirloin), lamb chops, leg of lamb, filet mignon, chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, Brazilian sausages and more.  Every Texas de Brazil restaurant uses the time-honored method of grilling meat over charcoal, resulting in savory aroma and exceptional flavor.  Patrons pace their dining experience with a simple flip of the green or red disk that indicates when they are ready for additional servings and when they need a break.

Tempting desserts are served a la carte for those seeking sweets and an impressive wine wall houses private label wines bottled exclusively for Texas de Brazil by Santa Rita Vineyards in Chile, and an award-winning collection of vintages from the world’s top wineries.  Beijos Bar and Lounge offers signature cocktails including the Brazilian favorite, the Caipirinha, plus an array of premium spirits and specialty cocktails.

“We are thrilled that Texas de Brazil chose The Summit at Fritz Farm for its flagship Kentucky location and are excited for the Lexington community to explore their flavor-filled menu,” said Lindsay Bayer, creative director for Bayer Properties. “The concept will provide a unique experience for our guests who are eager to discover a Brazilian steakhouse,” says Bayer.
