Really good. Nice people. Good price for the food and the amount. Moe was really nice, he made the garlic picanha.
TASTE OF TWO TRADITIONS
Savor traditional Brazilian churrasco cooking served with the generous spirit and hospitality that Texas is known for.
OUR STORY
Texas de Brazil began with a dream in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Enjoying the rancher’s life and feasting in the rodizio style native to the region, one of our partners had visions of bringing churrasco culture north to the United States. He wanted to share this unique way of dining where guests indulge in a parade of meats and extravagant seasonal salad area.
The destination for this restaurant was none other than cattle country…Texas. After all, the traditional steakhouse of Brazil blends perfectly with the service and class of the Lone Star State. We are proud to bring our family-owned restaurant to the rest of the world as we expand domestically and internationally. Come and enjoy the culinary experience found only at Texas de Brazil.
EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE℠
Taste of two Traditions
In southern Brazil, local cowboys called gauchos, prepare legendary feasts in a tradition known as churrasco. They slow-roast meats over open flames and present an impressive display of seasonal greens, vegetable dishes and regional delicacies. The succulent meats are brought to each group’s table and carved in a show of skill and festive offering.
At Texas de Brazil, we continue this treasured tradition. Treat yourself to a wide array of chef-crafted salads, roasted vegetables, imported cheeses and charcuterie. Enjoy house-baked cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes and fried bananas. Turn your card to green, and expert carvers generously serve you sizzling beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage. Simply turn your card to red to take a break. Liven up your meal by ordering our signature cocktail – the Caipirinha. And remember, our servers are always standing by to accommodate any request.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY
The staff was very attentive. Multiple servers stopped by our table to see if everything was OK. Our server Shaylynn E. was fantastic. Meat service was very quick and steady. Almost too fast. I highly recommend this experience.
Food and atmosphere was great. The mashed potatoes and fried plantains were great. Jose the waiter was great. He made the whole experience complete. We will be back again
Amy, our server, was fantastic! Very accommodating, friendly, and helpful! She made our wedding anniversary very special!
Excellent service from Andrew S at dinner tonight 8/12/2026. He did a fantastic job making sure I and my family were taken care of and we had the cut of steaks we preferred. If you eat at Texas de Brazil in Albany NY, ask for Andrew. Great service.
Leanna was our server and she was fantastic and fun. I will ask for her every time I go back she was very attentive also.
We recently visited Texas de Brazil, and I genuinely cannot say enough about our experience — but most importantly, about Rebeca, the General Manager. When we first walked in, I actually wasn’t convinced I wanted to stay. Then we met Rebeca. Her personality, warmth, knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine hospitality immediately captivated us. We left to shop, considered two other restaurants, and ultimately came back for one reason: Rebeca. The impression she made in those first few minutes was that powerful. As a restaurant owner myself, I understand hospitality, and I also understand how incredibly difficult it has become to find people who truly have a passion for it. Rebeca is one of those rare people. She doesn’t simply manage a restaurant; she understands how to make people feel welcomed, valued, and taken care of. She was knowledgeable, attentive, personable, and completely invested in making sure our experience was exceptional from beginning to end. The entire staff was wonderful, the service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Every detail was handled beautifully, and from the moment we returned until the moment we walked out the door, we felt like family. Great food can bring someone into a restaurant once. Exceptional hospitality is what brings them back. Rebeca is the reason we chose Texas de Brazil that evening, and she is a huge reason we will return. Rebeca is an absolute asset to this company and a perfect example of what true hospitality should look like. Texas de Brazil is incredibly fortunate to have her leading their team. Five stars for the food, the staff, the experience, and especially for Rebeca. Absolutely exceptional.
Me gustó mucho las carnes muy delicioso lo que mas me gustó fue el postre 🍨 ya que fui a celebrar mi cumpleaños 🎂
Texas de Brazil (formerly on Massachusetts Ave NW in Mount Vernon Triangle) Rating: 4.7 / 5 Stars (Historical) Review: It's a real shame that the D.C. location closed down, because it was an absolute powerhouse for a phenomenal steakhouse experience. The concept with the red and green cards and the gauchos bringing around endless, expertly flame-grilled cuts of beef, lamb, and garlic sausage was always top-tier. Coupled with that massive, 50-item gourmet salad and hot-sides area (featuring incredible lobster bisque, roasted vegetables, and cheeses), you never left hungry. While that particular spot is gone, whenever traveling to other cities where they're still operating, it remains a must-visit dining experience that we highly recommend. — B. Goodwin Sr., Bowie MD
I walked in and the hostess just stared at her phone for a solid minute before even acknowledging me, which was weird. But then they sat us down and the whole meal turned around completely, so I'll take the bad start for the great end. The salad bar is seriously unbeatable, I loaded up my plate like three different times. The servers kept coming around with the meat and I was so full by the time the picanha hit the table, but I made room anyway becuase it was that good. I've been back about once a month since then and every trip has been just as fun. If you like good food and you'te willing to spend a little extra, this is the place to eat at in the area.
