Texas de Brazil Churrascaria, a family-owned Brazilian-American steakhouse brand, continues to expand its international offerings with the opening of its Panama City location which is also their first in Central America. “We are proud to partner with Multi Food Holdings S.A. for the opening of our Panama City location and our first in Central America. We look forward to welcoming the many visitors and residents who appreciate this beautiful city’s vibrant atmosphere, and to introducing our unique dining experience to all,” says Salim Asrawi, president and COO, Texas de Brazil Churrascaria.

Atmosphere

Texas de Brazil Panama City offers guests an appealing, upscale atmosphere and friendly service for the continuous dining style which easily accommodates both large and small parties. The new restaurant features two main entrances including a striking pedestrian entrance with an adjacent lounge area and a second entrance inside the mall where guests find a large bar and attractive architectural elements. The 226-seat family-friendly venue features an impressive salad area topped with a stunning floral display, an open-view grill in the dining area, a large chef’s table, private dining for 32 in the VIP room adjoining the wine room, and 16 seats on the outdoor patio.

Guests enjoy a continuous dining experience for one fixed price which begins with a visit to the expansive salad area offering delicious variety with both hot and cold side specialty dishes. The selections include artisan breads, imported cheeses, fresh buffalo mozzarella, steamed asparagus with marmalade sauce, Brazilian hearts of palm, spicy shrimp salad, sushi, sautéed mushrooms, feijoada, jasmine rice, fish with garlic sauce, lobster bisque and much more. No wonder it’s called a steakhouse even vegetarians love.™

During the main course, flame-roasted meats are expertly prepared by a gaucho (server) who personally grills mouthwatering cuts over natural wood charcoal – a Southern Brazil gaucho tradition passed down through generations. When guests flip a two-sided disc located at each seat from red to green, gauchos continuously deliver and carve slow-roasted meats tableside to order. The vast selection ranges from the succulent picanha (sirloin), lamb chops, filet mignon and leg of lamb, to Parmesan-crusted pork loin, bacon wrapped chicken breast and more. When a break from the endless parade of meats is desired, guests simply turn discs back to red. This allows guests to pace the dining experience to fit any timeframe – from leisurely meals with friends and family to efficient meetings with business associates.

Inside the lounge, guests enjoy craft cocktails including the traditional caipirinha in a variety of flavors plus a full selection of distilled spirits, beer and soft drinks.

Texas de Brazil Presents A Quarter-Million Dollar Donation To St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®

Dallas, TX – November 11, 2019–

The numbers are in! After tallying funds raised during Texas de Brazil’s national, one-month campaign and a finale charity luncheon, the corporate match commitment of $25,000 was boosted to over $29,000 to allow the Brazilian-American steakhouse group to present $250,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® team members. The donation was announced at the luncheon held in Texas de Brazil Dallas on October 26th. This brings the grand total donations raised for St. Jude through Texas de Brazil to over $791,000 since the annual campaign began in 2013.

“We are honored to be able to surpass the donations we’ve previously presented and thank our generous guests throughout the nation for joining us in supporting this important organization,” says Salim Asrawi, president and chief operating officer for the family-owned Brazilian steakhouse brand. “St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases and we are proud to support their efforts.”

Throughout August, Texas de Brazil partnered with St. Jude in a campaign that allowed guests to donate directly to the cause at the bottom of guest checks. No purchase was required, and for every $5 donated Texas de Brazil provided a $5 bounce-back certificate as incentive and on Mondays, doubled incentives up to $50. Monies raised through Texas de Brazil social media platforms, the finale luncheon sales and silent auction items donated by vendors and hospitality associates, plus Texas de Brazil’s $25,000 match boosted by nearly $4500 to allow the restaurant group to donate a quarter-million dollars to support St. Jude in its life-saving mission: Finding cures. Saving children.®

Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to more than 80 percent today, and they won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
