What Is Churrasco, Anyway?
Churrasco is a Portuguese word that traditionally described thinly cut steak that had been roasted over the fire. Today, it applies also to pork, lamb, chicken, and other cuts of meat that are flame-roasted on a long spit. Churrasco is served in a churrascaria-a Brazilian steakhouse. Churrascarias are typically all-you-can-eat, so no one leaves hungry!
At Texas de Brazil in Baton Rouge, we are proud to extend this unique style of dining to you and your family. Our servers wear the traditional costume of the gauchos, South American cattle herders. They bring various selections of perfectly cooked churrasco to your table and carve the ones you would like to try. Of course, we have an all-you-can-eat option that includes our gourmet salad bar.
