Cachaca Cocktails: Caipirinha + Batida

Cachaça is the national spirit of Brazil and made from distilled sugar cane. Each week this September, we'll be featuring two Cachaça cocktails: one to try in our restaurant and one to make at home!

Texas de Brazil Cachaça Cocktail: Caipirinha The national drink of Brazil, Caipirinhas are made with Cachaça — a spirit made by distilling fermented sugarcane juice — along with fresh lime and sugar. Pair this traditional treat with savory churrasco grilled meats and selections from our gourmet salad area.

Ingredients  1½oz Cachaça 1oz Simple Syrup 1 Lime Ice Cubes

Method  Place lime and simple syrup in the shaker and muddle. Add ice, Cachaça and lime floaties to shaker. Shake together, pour into Caipirinha glass, and garnish with a lime wheel.

Leblon Cocktail: Batida A rich and creamy frozen combination of Cachaça and cream of coconut served in a highball glass. A refreshing way to spend an afternoon!

Ingredients  2oz Cachaça 2oz Cream of Coconut 1oz Whole Milk 1/4oz Simple Syrup

Method  Combine all ingredients in a blender with 1 cup of cracked ice and blend until smooth. Pour into a tall glass, and garnish with toasted coconut.
