Cachaca Cocktails: Brazilian Rose + Rabo de Galo

Cachaça is the national spirit of Brazil and made from distilled sugar cane. Every week this month, we'll be featuring two Cachaça cocktails: one to try in our restaurant and one to make at home!

Texas de Brazil Cachaça Cocktail: Brazilian Rose Sip on this elegant cocktail that is perfectly balanced, beautiful in display, and packs a tropical punch. 

Ingredients  1½oz Cachaça 1oz Grand Marnier 2oz Passion Fruit Juice ½oz Grenadine 

Method Pour Cachaça and Grand Marnier into shaker. Add in passion fruit juice plus ice and shake together. Strain slowly into the side of chilled martini glass. Pour grenadine into side and garnish with an orange wedge.

Leblon Cocktail: Rabo de Galo Translated in Portuguese as “Tail of the Rooster,” the Rabo de Galo is a popular, flavor-packed pick in Brazil.  

Ingredients  1½oz Cachaça ½oz Martini Rosso ½oz Cynar Grapefruit Bitters

Method  Mix Cachaça, Martini Rosso, and Cynar grapefruit bitters with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass. Spritz juice from an orange peel into mixture and garnish.
