Texas de Brazil is a family owned and operated business that offers a fun, interactive dining experience. Located at Town Square, Texas de Brazil is an authentic Brazilian-American steak house (churrascaria) that combines the cuisine and culture of Southern Brazil with the warm, welcoming hospitality of Texas.
Texas de Brazil is beautifully rustic with wrought-iron chandeliers, dark red walls, exposed steel beams and handmade mirrors imported from Brazil; linen topped tables and floral arrangements set throughout the restaurant and a glass-enclosed wine cellar runs the length of the restaurant sectioning off one of two private dining rooms available for groups up to 40 people. It is the perfect spot for celebrations, holiday parties or dinner for two.
If you like meat, Texas de Brazil offers continuous service of all the meat you can eat. But you do not have to be a meat lover to enjoy this restaurant. They have the biggest salad bar I have ever seen with over 50 seasonal items featuring different cheeses, deli meats, a variety of salads, grilled vegetables, sushi, smoked salmon and so much more with homemade soups like their famous rich and oh so creamy Lobster Bisque.
Once we were seated, our server explained the two sided card that was at each place setting. Turn the card green side up and the carvers (Passadors) will show up at your table with endless amounts of sizzling, slow-cooked flame-grilled meats served table side on large skewers. Some of the meats offered are Beef and Pork ribs, Lamb Chops, Filet mignon wrapped in bacon or without, Flank Steak, Garlic Sirloin, Linguica (Brazilian Sausage), Parmesan Chicken. When you have had enough, turn the card red side up and the carvers stop coming to your table.
The accompaniments are mashed potatoes, house-baked Brazilian cheese bread and sweet fried bananas. Even though there is an extensive wine list, we had to try their signature cocktail, the“Caipirinha”. A Caipirnha is Brazil’s national cocktail and it is deliciously refreshing made with Lime, Simple Syrup and Brazilian Rum.
Save room for dessert. Be sure to complete your dining experience with one of their many decadent dessert selections such as the cheesecake with a layer of fudge on the bottom, caramel on the top and a graham cracker crust; light and refreshing Key Lime Pie, a deliciously rich and extra gooey pecan pie, a moist and creamy white and dark chocolate cake and a huge slice of carrot cake. My friends and I shared the Bananas Foster Pie and Coconut Chess Pie and every bite melts in your mouth. We had a very passionate server who insisted we pair our dessert with a few after dinner liqueurs, and of course we did not want to be rude by ignoring his suggestions. All contributed to a very happy ending.
Be sure to come hungry when you visit Texas De Brazil, but if you leave hungry, you will only have yourself to blame.
