Also coming to Downtown: Texas de Brazil, a churrascaria, or Brazilian steakhouse, that claims to combine “the cuisine of Southern Brazil with the generous spirit of Texas” is scheduled to open this fall.

The restaurant will take over the former City Kitchen space, which has been vacant a few years now.

The chain, based in Dallas, has other Florida locations in Fort Lauderdale, Hallandale Beach, Miami, Miami Beach, Orlando and Tampa.

It offers an all-you-can eat concept, with a 50- to 60-item seasonal salad area that includes appetizers, vegetables, soups and salads. Once a customer signals via a green place card, wait staff descends upon the table offering cuts of seasoned beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage, all accompanied by traditional side items and house-baked Brazilian cheese bread.

According to the company’s website, menu items at the Texas de Brazil in Hallandale Beach are $46.99 per person for a regular dinner and $24.99 for a light dinner. See more at
